Purpose of the Policy

Paint Pots Preschool & Nursery provides equipment to support the safe, effective, and professional delivery of childcare and associated administration.

This policy sets out clear expectations for the use, care, security, and return of nursery equipment, and helps ensure:

• Equipment is used appropriately and safely
• Nursery property is protected from loss, damage, or misuse
• Personal and sensitive information is kept secure

Scope

This policy applies to all equipment owned, leased, or provided by Paint Pots, including (but not limited to):

• Laptops, tablets and computers
• Mobile phones and smart devices
• Printers, scanners, and networking equipment
• Cameras and audio equipment
• Portable storage devices (e.g. USB drives)
• Any other electronic or technical equipment provided for work purposes

Ownership of Equipment

All equipment issued by Paint Pots remains the property of the nursery at all times.

Issuing and Use of Equipment

Equipment will only be issued where there is a clear work-related need. Staff taking equipment home for business use must complete an employee equipment for home use form which is available on the intranet and on request.
