We will ALWAYS encourage open discussion between ourselves and our stakeholders, in a spirit of partnership, and for the benefit of the staff and children.
In the first instance, any suggestion, issue or concern must be raised with our staff/managers, as soon as it arises, so that we have the opportunity to act. If staff members or managers are unable to provide a satisfactory resolution a member of the senior management should be contacted.
Following discussion with them, should any issue remain unresolved to your satisfaction, a formal complaint may be registered with us in writing or by email to: ([email protected]).
We will provide you with an account of the findings of any investigation within 28 days of receiving the complaint.
We will also provide written confirmation of any action we have taken or intend to take as a result of our findings.
We will keep a record of all complaints and share appropriate information with parents on request.
Should our response to a formal complaint still fail to resolve the issue to your satisfaction, the official body to refer complaints onto is the Ofsted Early Years Helpline: 0300 123 1231.
Complaints relating to the handling of personal data are managed in accordance with the Data Protection Complaints Procedure contained within the Data Protection Policy and may ultimately be referred to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Parent Funding Entitlement Complaints Procedure
We are committed to ensuring that all families receive their child’s funded early education entitlement in line with the requirements set out by the government and our local authority.
If a parent or carer feels that their child’s funded entitlement has not been delivered correctly, they are encouraged to raise this with the nursery manager in the first instance so that we can work together to resolve the matter promptly.
Our full complaints procedure (above) is available to all parents and carers and outlines how concerns can be raised and addressed. If a concern cannot be resolved with the manager, parents have the right to contact the local authority for further advice in accordance with the statutory guidance set out by the Early Education and Childcare Statutory Guidance for Local Authorities.
For further information about funding entitlements and eligibility, parents can visit the government website:
